A lot of money was showered, all the old records were broken, new rules increased the price of many players and with this, the most expensive auction in IPL history was completed. After a fierce competition between 10 IPL franchises at Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for two days, the mega auction for the 2025 season reached its conclusion. This time the total budget for the purchase of players was Rs 641 crore and bids were to be placed on players to fill a total of 204 slots. All the 204 slots were not filled but only 182 players could be bought and a total of Rs 639.15 crore was spent for this.
