With less than a week left for their first practice match for the 2023 World Cup, Pakistan is facing a visa hurdle, forcing them to cancel their pre-tournament team bonding trip to Dubai.

According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the Pakistan team is still awaiting visas to travel to India for the ten-team event starting on October 5. Before the tournament, each team will participate in two practice matches. Pakistan's opening practice match is to be played against New Zealand in Hyderabad on 29 September.

As per their original plan, the team was to gather in Dubai for a bonding session lasting a few days before leaving for Hyderabad. However, his plans have been disrupted due to the delay in getting the visa. As a result, they have now decided to fly from Lahore to Dubai on the 27th. Despite this setback, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) remains optimistic that the visas will arrive in time for the warm-up program.

Pakistan's participation in the World Cup has been a long and complicated affair. After months of uncertainty, the team finally received government approval to travel to India in August. However, this was further complicated by India's decision not to travel to Pakistan for this year's Asia Cup.

Pakistan's second warm-up match will be against Australia on October 3, followed by their first match against the Netherlands on October 6. Both these matches will be held in Hyderabad.
