Sunrisers Hyderabad Players List For IPL 2024: Cummins becomes the most expensive player in Hyderabad for 20.50 crores
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Indian Premier League (IPL) title in 2016. Since then this team has remained deprived of the title. Although this team had played the final in 2018 but lost to Chennai Super Kings. After this the team continues to deviate from its path.
It is becoming very difficult for Hyderabad, which was once considered a consistent team of IPL, to win. Last year, this team had changed its leadership and made South Africa's Aiden Markram the captain. The result, however, still did not change. The team could not go to the playoffs. In IPL-2024, the team has made changes in its coaching staff and in the auction to be held on Tuesday, this team will try to select such players who can help it win the title.
Former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori is the new coach of this team. During his tenure the franchise will try to prepare a good team. However, Sunrisers had retained most of their key players. But he had released a big name for which he had spent crores in the last auction. This player was Harry Brook. This time he is not with the team. Now the possibility of Hyderabad bidding on him again in the auction seems less because his performance was not as per expectations.
Hyderabad has released six players this season while traded one. Mayang Dagar, who was with the team till last year, has been traded by the team and in his place Shahbaz Ahmed has been taken from Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both are left arm spinners. Ahmed is a left-handed batsman who can score fast runs in the last overs. Sunrisers will enter the IPL auction with an amount of Rs 34 crore. It has space for six players, out of which it can buy at most three foreign players.
