What happened?
Amar Chava is a deputy engineer in the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST). 42-year-old Chava had ordered a Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G smartphone worth Rs 54,999 from Amazon. The order was delivered on July 15, but Chava says that instead of the phone, there were tea cups in the packet.
He also accused the e-tailer of not providing customer support. He said, 'I called the shopping portal and complained... They assured me to investigate and call back but did not receive any response till July 20. When I called them, they expressed helplessness and refused to give me the investigation report, after which I approached the police.'
No response from Amazon
He says that the online portal is not taking any interest in investigating this matter. He said that he had also given the CCTV footage of the delivery person to the police.
