A new AI feature may soon come to Google Play Store. According to reports, the Play Store is working on a new AI feature, which may be named "Ask a Question" feature. This feature will make it easier for users to discover new apps and learn more about them. This feature is currently in development. The release date of the feature is not known yet, but it is being said that it may come in the form of a chatbot. This will be the third AI feature of the Play Store, the first two are AI-generated FAQs and AI review summaries.

A new AI feature may soon come to Google Play Store

As of now, there is an AI feature in the Play Store called AI-generated FAQs. This feature automatically adds FAQs about apps i.e. most frequently asked questions and their answers on the app listing page so that users can read them and get basic information about the apps. However, this is not an interactive feature because users can know the answers to only those questions which are given on the page. If the user has any other question in mind, then they will not be able to know the answer to it.

It seems that Google is fixing this problem with the Ask a Question feature. According to the report, the publication saw three strings of code. The first string says "Created by AI", indicating that this will be an AI-powered feature. The second string reportedly says "Ask a question about this app", while the third says "Ask a question".

When will this feature come?

Based on this information, this feature is likely to come in the form of a chatbot. The publication claims that it can be available to users on both app listing pages and app results pages. Users can reportedly use it to ask any questions about a particular app. Apart from this, it is said that this tool will also help users in app discovery and let them find apps easily. However, these are only speculations. For accurate information, we will have to wait for the official announcement by Google.
