Breast cancer is becoming a big problem for women. This disease can prove fatal if detected late. But now a solution to this problem seems to be emerging.
Breast cancer is becoming a big problem for women. But now a solution to this problem seems to be emerging. A researcher from IIT Kanpur has developed a smart bra, which can prove to be very helpful in detecting breast cancer.
According to the news published in Hindustan, researcher Shreya Nair has designed this smart bra under the supervision of Prof. Amitabh Bandopadhyay, Head of the Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering. Shreya believes that breast cancer is spreading rapidly and the main reason for this is the inability to detect the disease on time.
How does a smart bra work?
This smart bra works in a very amazing way. This bra has a special type of sensor, which immediately recognizes any kind of change in the breast. If early symptoms of breast cancer appear, then this sensor immediately sends an alert. In this way, women can detect the disease at a very early stage and get it treated. According to Shreya, the prototype of this smart bra is ready and clinical trials are being conducted.
You will know in 1 minute
This bra has to be worn for just one minute a day. This bra connects to the mobile and also prepares complete data. If the sensor sees any abnormality then it sends a message on the mobile and advises the woman to contact the doctor.
Shreya said that clinical trials of this smart bra are going on and if everything goes well, it will be available in the market within a year. The price of this bra will be around five thousand rupees. Scientists claim that no such device is available
in the market yet.
