UPI, Unified Payment Interface, is the most used system today. Do you know how many UPI IDs can be created from one bank account?

National Payments Corporation of India, known as NPCI, has created the Unified Payments Interface or UPI. UPI is an intermediate real-time payment process that facilitates transactions between two individuals or between an individual and a merchant.

Its most notable feature is that UPI allows the linking of different bank accounts through a single mobile app. With one mobile app, you can transfer money and make payments to any merchant.

To use UPI through Google Pay, you need to choose a bank that supports UPI. In the UPI application, you are required to create a VPA or Virtual Payment Address.

VPA may be different for different service providers, like PhonePe's UPI VPA is their mobile number@ybl. For Google Pay, the VPA will be your name@obbankname.

One bank account can be linked to 4 UPI IDs, and you can remove this UPI ID whenever you want. Different UPI IDs can be created for the same bank account.
