Advertisement claims weight loss injections

A woman named Chen, from Suzhou, China, ordered a weight loss injection online. However, after using the drug, she was hospitalized with serious internal injuries. According to reports, Chen spent 900 yuan, or about US$130 (11,683 Indian rupees), for a package of three injections after seeing an advertisement on social media. The advertisement claimed that each injection would result in a weight loss of 3.5 kilograms. Initially, the woman injected only half the recommended dose.

Weight loss but vomiting of blood

She lost nearly a kilogram in the first day. Within four days, she lost nearly five kilograms, but physical problems began. She experienced nausea, loss of appetite, and persistent vomiting. Eventually, she began vomiting blood. She was then taken to the hospital, where she underwent a thorough medical examination. Doctors say she suffered severe damage to the lining of her stomach and a malfunction in her digestive system. Later tests revealed that the injections she received contained illegal semaglutide. However, health experts warn that those using such beauty products should understand the hidden dangers.
