Indian bowler Kuldeep Yadav sparked excitement with his bowling in the ODI series against South Africa. He took nine wickets and earned the 'Impact Player of the Series' award.
Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav took nine wickets at an average of 20.78 in the three-match ODI series against South Africa. He was the highest wicket-taker in the series. For this outstanding performance, Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the 'Impact Player of the Series' award.
The BCCI posted a video on the social media platform 'X' on Sunday, in which Team India's assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said, "Friends, I have the honour of presenting the Impact Player of the Series. I believe that in a series where everyone has contributed, we often say this, but in this series, all of you contributed in all three matches. In a series where batting dominated in most of the matches, Kuldeep Yadav is the 'Impact Player of the Series'."
After receiving the award, Kuldeep Yadav began walking towards his seat. Someone asked him to give a speech. He was about to speak when Virat Kohli commented, "Cry, cry." Everyone laughed. Kuldeep Yadav then said, "Nothing special from my side. Congratulations to Virat and Jaisu (Yashasvi Jaiswal), they played a tremendous innings."

Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets for 68 runs in the ODI against South Africa played in Ranchi. He then took 1 wicket for 78 runs in the second match. Kuldeep Yadav played a key role in India's 2-1 series win by taking 4 wickets in the final match of the series. Kuldeep Yadav has played 117 ODIs for India so far, in which he has taken 191 wickets at an average of 26.29.
India lost the two-match Test series against South Africa 0-2, after which they leveled the score by winning the ODI series. Now, a five-match T20 series will be played between the two countries in Cuttack (December 9), New Chandigarh (December 11), Dharamsala (December 14), Lucknow (December 17), and Ahmedabad (December 19).
