Help in the golden hour can save lives: Health Secretary
Bihar Health Department Secretary Kumar Ravi stated that road accidents pose a major challenge to the state. A large number of lives can be saved by transporting the injured to the hospital within the golden hour (the first hour) of an accident. The PM Relief Scheme was launched for this purpose. Hospitals and police play a crucial role in its effective implementation.
He urged hospitals to ensure 100% registration of all road accident victims and to be sensitive to the scheme. He stated that since road accidents often occur along roads and highways, the public should have easy access to information about nearby PM Relief-affiliated hospitals. Furthermore, information about PM Relief-affiliated hospitals should be available on Google Maps.
