Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tejaswi Jaiswal did wonders with the bat, both brothers achieved this milestone for the first time

Bade Miyan is Bade Miyan, Chote Miyan is Subhanallah — this fits perfectly for cricketing brothers Tejaswi Jaiswal and his younger sibling Yashasvi Jaiswal. On December 6, 2025, both brothers created a unique moment in their careers: each of them scored a fifty-plus knock on the same day, something they had never done before.

Tejaswi Jaiswal, playing for Tripura in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scored a solid half-century against Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, younger brother and India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed a match-winning fifty-plus score in the Visakhapatnam ODI against South Africa.

Both brothers’ fifty-plus feats
For the first time ever, both Tejaswi and Yashasvi scored fifty or more on the same day. Tejaswi notched up the first fifty of his T20 career, while Yashasvi recorded the first fifty-plus score of his ODI career — and he did it in grand style in Vizag.

Tejaswi’s milestone and Yashasvi’s resurgence
In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Tejaswi scored 51 off 37 balls at a strike rate of 138, including one four and four sixes. Despite his efforts, Tripura fell short as Uttarakhand beat them by four wickets.

On the other hand, Yashasvi entered the third ODI under pressure, having scored only 55 runs in his previous three ODIs. But in just the fourth ODI of his career, he not only registered his highest ODI score but also outscored his cumulative runs from all his earlier matches. His fifty-plus knock became the turning point of India’s chase and ultimately their series victory.

Different results, similar milestones
While Tejaswi’s fifty did not change Tripura’s fate, in Visakhapatnam the story was completely different. A fifty-plus score from Yashasvi’s bat turned into a winning formula for Team India.
