The electric two-wheeler market in the country is growing rapidly, and in this episode, Bengaluru-based startup Zeno has introduced its first electric motorcycle, 'Emara'. The company claims that it is India's first Sport Utility Electric Motorcycle (SUEM). This bike will be seen running on Indian roads by the end of 2025.
100 km range and fast charging facility
Zeno Emara can cover a distance of about 100 km once fully charged. The battery given in it can be charged in 5 to 6 hours with a portable charger, while it gets fully charged in just 1.5 hours with a Type 6 fast charger. At the same time, it can be charged in 60 to 75 minutes at the swap station.
Adventure bike-like glimpse in design and features
The bike's design shows a combination of both sport and adventure. It has an LED headlight, a 6.3-inch digital dash, and a long seat. Apart from this, the bike has advanced suspension systems like 17-inch tires, a telescopic front fork, and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Its ground clearance is 190mm.
Great options in weight and accessories
The bike has a curb weight of 160 kg, and optional accessories like a 100-liter rear storage box and a 30-liter luggage pannier have been provided with it. The special thing is that it also has the facility of battery extension that looks like a jerry can.
Performance and speed
This electric motorcycle uses a mid-drive permanent magnet motor, which gives it 7.8 seconds to reach a speed of 0 to 60 km/h. The maximum speed of the bike is 90 km/h, and it can easily climb a slope of up to 30 degrees. It has two battery packs which provide a total of 4 kWh energy capacity.
Price information
Zeno Emara is being made available at a reduced price for the first 5,000 customers. After this, its price will increase by about Rs 19,000.
