“24 Crore Muslims Live Proudly in India”: Owaisi Exposes Pakistan’s Propaganda During Saudi Visit

In a rare show of political unity on a global stage, AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi, part of an all-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, took a direct stand against Pakistan’s false propaganda during a visit to Saudi Arabia. Speaking in Riyadh, Owaisi strongly countered narratives aimed at portraying India as hostile to Muslims and highlighted the reality of Indian Muslims living with pride and dignity.

Owaisi Counters Pakistan’s Narrative in the Arab World

“**Pakistan spreads lies to the Muslim world that India is not a Muslim country. The truth is that 24 crore Muslims live proudly in India,” Owaisi declared in Riyadh. He called out Pakistan’s attempts to manipulate Arab perceptions, stating that Islamabad falsely paints India as anti-Muslim while ignoring its own record of nurturing extremism.

"Pakistan Fuels Terror, Blocks South Asia’s Progress"

Owaisi didn’t mince words when addressing Pakistan’s role in regional instability:

If Pakistan stops supporting Takfiri terrorist groups, South Asia can prosper. But it keeps disrupting peace and blocking SAARC progress,” he said.

Referencing Operation Sindoor, Owaisi said India struck nine Pakistani airbases in retaliation for terror activity, but chose restraint to deliver a message—not destruction.

“We could have wiped out those bases, but our goal was to show them a mirror.”

Call for FATF Grey List Action

Owaisi urged the international community to relist Pakistan on the FATF grey list, citing recent events that clearly expose its links with terror outfits:

“When Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir was appointed, a U.S.-designated terrorist Mohammad Ehsan was seen beside him. That’s not coincidence, that’s collusion.”

He accused Pakistan of training extremists and fueling communal violence in India as part of a broader destabilization campaign.

“Who Do We Even Talk to in Pakistan?”

Recalling the Pathankot terror attack, Owaisi criticized past diplomatic overtures to Islamabad, including PM Modi’s surprise visit to Nawaz Sharif:

“We were criticized for that visit—and rightly so. That trip ended in bloodshed at our airbase. Pakistan doesn’t speak in one voice, so whom should we talk to?”

Delegation Highlights India’s Anti-Terror Stand

The delegation—on a multi-nation tour covering Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria—includes representatives across the political spectrum:

  • BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Fagnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, and Satnam Singh Sandhu

  • Ghulam Nabi Azad, President of Democratic Progressive Azad Party

  • Harsh Shringla, former Foreign Secretary and senior diplomat

Together, they are presenting India’s unified message against terrorism and exposing Pakistan’s duplicity on international platforms.
