It has been almost 30 days since Operation Sindoor was launched in Pakistan on 7 May after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. So let us know what all changed in India and Pakistan during this time?
To avenge the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India had launched Operation Sindoor in Pakistan. During this operation conducted on the night of 6-7 May, India had targeted 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan, in which more than 100 terrorists were killed. These terrorist organizations were either operating in PoK or inside Pakistan. The terrorist hideouts targeted by India included dreaded terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed.
After Operation Sindoor launched by India, Pakistan carried out several missile and drone attacks on India, to which India gave a befitting reply and caused a lot of damage to Pakistan. It has been almost 30 days since this operation which took place on 7 May. So let us know what all changed between India and Pakistan during this period?
Indus Water Treaty suspended
Pakistan had to bear the cost of the Pahalgam terror attack by losing the Indus Water Treaty. On 23 April, a day after the terror attack on 22 April, India broke the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. Pakistan is likely to suffer a huge loss due to the breaking of this treaty. In fact, the water from the three rivers which Pakistan used to get under the treaty will be stopped, which can cause a huge loss to the agriculture of Pakistan's Sindh and Punjab provinces.
Airspace completely closed
After the Indus Water Treaty was broken, Pakistan also closed its airspace for Indian airlines in response. In response to this, India also closed its airspace. If we look at it, Pakistan is suffering more financial loss than India due to this decision. Actually, airlines using Pakistan's airspace used to pay a huge amount to Pakistan in return, which it had to lose.
Trade with India at a standstill
After the Pulwama terrorist attack in 2019, trade between India and Pakistan was very limited, but after the Pahalgam incident, India ended all trade relations with Pakistan. This also includes trade with third parties. After this decision taken by India, the export of essential goods to Pakistan has completely stopped, due to which inflation is expected to increase.
Pakistan's global credibility suffered a setback
After the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan's global reputation has also suffered a major setback. In fact, after this attack, India sent its delegation to many countries, in which Pakistan was exposed for supporting terrorism. The countries which were neutral during the conflict between India and Pakistan also came in support of India and condemned Pakistan.
Pakistan got loan from IMF
After Operation Sindoor, the way has been cleared for Pakistan to get a loan of 2.4 billion dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The IMF has given its approval for this. From India's point of view, this is also a big diplomatic mistake, because India had lodged a strong protest against this, despite this Pakistan was successful in getting a loan from the IMF.
