Applications can be invited for this by the end of July. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth for this recruitment happening after 14 years. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced this recruitment in June last year. Since then, the youth were waiting for it to start.

This recruitment is going to happen after 2011. This time the recruitment process will be like the constable recruitment exam. That is, first there will be a written exam and then an interview. The exam will be conducted at the headquarters level. The rules for recruitment are almost ready. Now the proposal has been sent to the government for consensus on only a few points. After getting the approval of the cabinet, the recruitment advertisement will be issued.

It is necessary to pass high school.

The special thing is that 20 percent of the posts in this recruitment will be reserved for women. To participate in the recruitment, it will be necessary for the candidate to pass high school. The age limit has been kept between 18 to 45 years. The department hopes that more than 15 lakh applications may come for the recruitment this time. Home Guard Minister Dharmveer Prajapati has also held a meeting with the officers of the department regarding this. There is a discussion whether the recruitment of all 44 thousand posts should be done together or it should be completed in two phases, the final decision on this will be taken soon.

Home Guard soldiers are also deployed in traffic control, election duty, disaster management and other essential services. Formed in 1946, this force's job is to maintain peace in the society and cooperate with the police.
