According to a report by Lalluram.com, a goat named 'Kohinoor' has become the center of discussion in Bhopal's goat market. 'Kohinoor' is no ordinary goat. It has been raised by the operator of Nadeem Goat Farm on a special diet and under royal supervision. Its diet includes cashews, almonds, dates, and other dry fruits. It is kept in AC or cooler to provide relief from the heat. Its royal look, shiny body and horse-like stature are making it the show-stopper of the market. People from far and wide are flocking to Bhopal's market to see 'Kohinoor'.

The operator of Nadeem Goat Farm said that Kohinoor weighs 174 kg and lakhs of rupees have been spent in preparing it. This market of Bhopal is bustling with traders and buyers from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and other states. Its price has been estimated at Rs 16 lakh.

'SOS' is no less than anyone

Another goat 'Sos' is also in the news in Bhopal's market. Its price is being set between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1.2 lakh. It is a goat of Totapuri breed. Its weight is more than 80 kg and its movement is so attractive that people are ready to buy it as soon as they see it. Sellers claim that there are natural Urdu markings on its body, which make it even more special from religious point of view.

There is tough competition in markets across the country

Not only in Bhopal, but in cities like Delhi's Meena Bazar, Ajmer, Bareilly, Aligarh and Burhanpur too, goats are in news for their pomp and splendor. In Delhi, a goat named 'Sikander' is being sold for Rs 3 lakh, whose weight is said to be 2 quintals. The prices depend on the breed, weight, height, structure of horns and natural religious marks. For sacrifice, the goat should have two, four or six teeth according to its age, which increases the price further.
