The group stage matches of the T20 World Cup 2026 have now concluded. The Super 8s begin today. Eight teams will battle for the semi-finals. These teams have been divided into two groups. The top two from each group will advance to the semi-finals, while the remaining four teams will have to return home.
These 8 teams got a place
India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, England and Zimbabwe have been selected for the Super 8. The first group consists of India, West Indies, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The second group consists of Pakistan, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The matches in the Super 8 stage will be played in a single round-robin format. This means each team will play one match each against the other three teams in its group. In the first match of the Super 8, Pakistan will face New Zealand today.

Indian team matches
The Indian team is in Group A of the Super 8. The team, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, will face South Africa, West Indies, and Zimbabwe. Team India will face South Africa on February 22nd. This match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After this, on February 26th, host India will face Zimbabwe. This match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India will face the West Indies in the final Super 8 match. This match will be played on March 1st at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
