A strange incident happened in Bhagalpur, the MRI machine started pulling the patient lying on the table as soon as he was brought into the room; this is how his life was saved

In a super specialty hospital in Bhagalpur, the MRI machine pulled a patient during the test. Hearing the patient's screams, the technician switched off the machine. After the incident, the MRI test was stopped and the patients were sent back. There is a suspicion of a fault in the table during the test.

A strange and shocking incident took place on Saturday in the state-of-the-art super specialty hospital of eastern Bihar.

As soon as the patient lying on the MRI table was taken inside the room for examination, the MRI examination machine started pulling the table towards itself. Seeing the table approaching the machine, the patient started screaming in fear.

He saved his life by jumping from the table and getting out of the room. The scared patient said that today his life was saved. However, seeing the table suddenly touching the machine, the technician present there switched off the machine. Due to which no untoward incident occurred.

After this incident, the hospital management stopped the MRI tests and sent back the patients who had come for treatment.

Immediately this information was given to the agency providing the MRI machine. The agency sent an engineer to the hospital. Only after investigation will it be known why the machine started pulling the table towards itself.

Let us tell you that the MRI machine has been installed here at a cost of about Rs 12 crore. When MRI was closed in JLNMCH, patients were sent to super specialty  The MRI tests being conducted on PPP mode at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital have been stopped since Friday due to technical reasons.

Due to this, the patient of the hospital was sent to the Super Specialty Hospital for MRI test on Saturday. After completing all the procedures before the test, the patient was made to lie down on the MRI table. After this, the patient was taken inside the room for MRI test.

As soon as the patient came here, the table came in the range of the magnet field. The machine started pulling the table towards itself rapidly. After which the patient came in contact with the table. It was a coincidence that after the table came in contact, the MRI machine stopped automatically. The patient got frightened.

To save himself, the patient quickly freed himself from the table and jumped and ran away. The incident was reported to the Deputy Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Mahesh. He came here and informed the company that supplied the machine. After this incident, all the patients who had come for checkup were sent back.   Here on Saturday, CT scan of two patients could be done.

Why did the machine start pulling?

It was told that there is a magnet in the MRI machine. Which starts pulling iron and other things towards itself very fast. The question arises that there is some problem in the table or the patient was not made to lie on the table after a thorough examination. Both are a matter of investigation.

The patient was lying on the MRI table. This table was given by the agency that supplied the machine. If the table was as per the standards, this incident would not have happened. There is a possibility that iron or metal was found in the table. The company's engineers are coming. The problem will be solved soon  Dr. Avilesh Kumar, Superintendent
