Aamir Khan’s Big Strategy for Son Junaid: ‘Ek Din’ Tickets Go on Sale 39 Days Before Release

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has made a bold and unusual move to support his son Junaid Khan ahead of the release of his upcoming film Ek Din. The film, which also stars Sai Pallavi, is scheduled to hit theatres on May 1, but what has surprised everyone is that its advance booking has already started—almost 39 days before release.

Typically, advance booking for films begins just a few days or at most a week before release. Even big-budget films rarely open bookings more than two weeks in advance. However, Aamir Khan has taken things to the next level by opening ticket sales far earlier than usual, making this a unique and aggressive promotional strategy.

Initially, many assumed it was a technical glitch when tickets for Ek Din appeared on booking platforms. But it soon became clear that this was a planned move. Reports suggest that bookings have already opened in around 20 cities across India, though currently only limited shows are available. Delhi-NCR leads with bookings across multiple screens, followed by cities like Mumbai, Chandigarh, Pune, and several others.

Early response to this strategy has been encouraging. Hundreds of tickets have already been sold, even with minimal shows available. Cities like Raipur and Ahmedabad have shown promising numbers, indicating that audiences are curious and interested in the film.

This move highlights how seriously Aamir Khan is backing his son’s career. While Junaid has appeared in a few projects earlier without making a major impact, Ek Din is being positioned as a crucial film for him. With competition from other releases around the same time, this early booking strategy could help build momentum and create strong word-of-mouth well before release.
