Vishnu Idol Found in Bangladesh: After an ancient idol of Lord Vishnu was found during excavation in Dinajpur district, strange incidents started happening in the village. Ponds dried up, land became barren and panic spread among the people. Has a 600-year-old curse returned? Know the truth behind this mysterious story.
Vishnu Idol Found in Bangladesh: A surprising incident happened recently in Harinathpur village of Dinajpur district of Bangladesh, when an old idol was found from under the earth two days ago. This idol found during the excavation is said to be of Lord Vishnu, in which the figure of Goddess Lakshmi is also engraved. The weight of this idol is about 27 kg, whose height is 32 inches and width is 14 inches. The symbol of lotus is also made on the idol. The administration has considered it a normal archaeological discovery and sent it to the treasury in Dhaka.
However, after this incident, unusual events are being seen in the village. According to the locals, the pond from which this idol was found has suddenly dried up and the land around it is becoming barren. This area was historically considered very fertile and such a situation was never seen here in the last 600 years. The elders of the village say that they had never seen this pond drying up.
According to media reports, a Hindu landlord 'Ganesh' lived in this village around the 1400th century, who was a worshipper of Lord Vishnu. He had dug a palace, a temple and this pond in this village. It is believed that the idol found may be from the same old temple. At present, many historical structures of this area like the palace are still present, but the temple has now been destroyed. A government school has also been established here and most of the land is occupied by local Muslims.
There is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers after this incident. Many people believe that all this could be some divine power or an old curse. Some elders also claimed that a landlord named Ganesh had performed a yagya after taking an oath in the name of Mata Chandi and this place was worshipped as a Shaktipeeth. People are now raising the question that why did the pond suddenly dry up and the land become barren after so many years? At present, the administration has started a scientific investigation, but the mystery remains. The people of the village are worried that this may be some inauspicious sign.
