Lovlina Borgohain

Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain settled for silver in the women's 75kg boxing category after finishing runner-up in the Commonwealth Games final.

The Asian Games now present another opportunity for the experienced boxer to return to the top of the podium and add another major international gold medal to her impressive career.

Jadumani Singh

Indian boxer Jadumani Singh impressed throughout the Commonwealth Games before winning a silver medal in the men's 55kg category.

After falling short in the final, Jadumani will head to the Asian Games with valuable experience and the determination to convert his recent success into a gold-medal performance.

Lovepreet Singh

Weightlifter Lovepreet Singh came agonisingly close to winning Commonwealth Games gold.

He produced a remarkable performance by lifting 176kg in the snatch and 212kg in the clean and jerk, for a combined total of 388kg. Despite setting a Commonwealth Games record in the snatch, he narrowly missed gold by just one kilogram.

That performance makes him one of India's strongest medal hopes at the Asian Games.

Gulvir Singh

Distance runner Gulvir Singh enjoyed a memorable Commonwealth Games campaign, winning silver in the 10,000m and bronze in the 5,000m.

His double-medal achievement made him the first Indian athlete to win two athletics medals at the same Commonwealth Games. With that confidence, Gulvir will now aim to climb to the top step of the podium at the Asian Games.

Bigger Challenge Awaits in Japan
