Following the untimely demise of actress Shefali Jariwala on 27 June due to cardiac arrest, her husband Parag Tyagi has been fulfilling all the rituals in her memory. However, amid his mourning, a disturbing rumor began circulating — one that deeply hurt Parag. Some people falsely claimed that Simba, the couple’s pet dog whom Shefali loved as her own child, had fallen ill after her death.
Parag has now come forward to strongly refute these rumors, expressing his anguish over what he calls the “cruelty” of people spreading fake news for views and likes.
Who is Simba?
Shefali and Parag didn’t have biological children, but Simba, their pet dog, was considered their son. Shefali often shared photos with Simba and treated him like family. After her passing, Parag has continued caring for Simba and even performed charity and post-death rituals with Simba by his side.
Parag’s Heartfelt Message
In a recent video shared on Instagram, Parag is seen feeding food to elderly women on the roadside, stating,
"Our son Simba is doing charity for his mother… he is fulfilling all his duties."
Addressing the rumors, Parag wrote:
"This video is for those special people who were genuinely worried about our child. Because some cruel people were spreading false news about our son's health to gain likes and views."
He added,
"Simba is very happy and is completing all the rituals to be done for the mother like a son."
Support and Love for Simba
Parag also thanked those who reached out with genuine concern:
“I thank all those who were truly worried about Simba. May God bless you.”
Simba in Grief, But Not Alone
Since Shefali's passing, Simba has been frequently seen with Parag, staying close to him and receiving comfort. Friends like Paras Chhabra have confirmed how close the couple was to their dog and often spent time together as a family.
This emotional episode underlines not only the deep bond between humans and pets but also how misinformation during grief can add unnecessary pain. For Parag and Simba, their love for Shefali lives on — and they’re honoring her memory together.
