Pahalgam Attack After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, police action has been taken against a doctor of AIIMS Rishikesh for celebrating by distributing sweets in the institute. People associated with Hindu organizations have protested twice in AIIMS in this matter. It was told that the doctor had earlier also shared anti-Hindu posts on his internet media account.
Jagran Correspondent, Rishikesh. Pahalgam Attack: After the death of tourists in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the police have registered a case against a doctor of AIIMS Rishikesh for celebrating by distributing sweets in the institute.
It is alleged that the doctor had posted anti-Hindu posts on the internet media earlier as well. People associated with Hindu organizations have protested twice in AIIMS in this matter.

In the complaint given to the police, Rajendra Pandey, a resident of Tapovan, Muni Ki Reti, associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said that on April 22, terrorists had killed Hindu tourists in Pahalgam after asking their religion. It is alleged that the next day of this incident, Dr. Tanzeem Akram, working in AIIMS, distributed sweets in celebration in the hospital premises.
When someone asked, the doctor said that sweets were being distributed to celebrate Ramadan. However, Ramadan had already begun more than a month ago. It is alleged that Dr. Tanzeem Akram openly supported the terrorists who attacked Pahalgam.
Anti-Hindu posts
The doctor had earlier also shared anti-Hindu posts on his internet media account. The police have registered a case in this matter under sections like promoting enmity between different communities on the basis of religion, caste, language etc., harming national unity etc.
Senior sub-inspector of Rishikesh police station Vinod Kumar said that a case has been registered and investigation is being carried out. Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad had earlier staged protests twice in AIIMS in this matter. They alleged that AIIMS and the police administration were trying to save the accused doctor instead of taking action against him. They had warned of a fierce agitation if no action was taken within fifteen days.
