Bangladesh Hindu Lynched: According to the police, Amrit Mandal had allegedly formed an organisation named Samrat Vahini and used to carry out extortion in the surrounding areas.
Another Hindu man was beaten to death by a mob in Bangladesh . The deceased has been identified as Amrit Mandal, alias Samrat . Police in the Pangsha area of Rajbari claimed the mob killed him over allegations of extortion .
According to the Daily Star report , police said that a mob of villagers attacked him on Wednesday ( December 24, 2025) , prompting authorities to arrive at the scene . Police have detained Mohammed Salim , an associate of Samrat, and recovered weapons, including a pistol .

He recently returned to Bangladesh . Police say two cases , including murder , were registered against Samrat . Locals told police that Samrat allegedly ran a criminal gang . What did the police say on the lynching of Amrit Mandal?
According to the report, villagers said, "Amrit Mandal went to a man's house in the old market area of Hussaindanga and demanded ransom. When he refused to pay, other members of the Samrat Vahini entered his house on December 24th. When the head of the family was not found, the men began beating his son. When the family members began shouting 'thief, thief,' the villagers gathered and beat Samrat. One of his companions was captured. "
Police admitted Amrit Mandal to the hospital in critical condition, but doctors declared him dead. In Bangladesh, Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death by a mob and his body was later set on fire. Initially, it was said that he was killed on charges of blasphemy, but police later clarified that they found no such evidence. Following Dipu Das's murder, protests against the Yunus government were held in several countries, including India.
