Bangladesh becoming India's Murshidabad? Hindus who made idols of gods and goddesses were brutally murdered; see how the Sanatanis were devastated!

The video shows the bodies of Hargovind Das (father) and Chandan Das (son), who were sculptors and made idols of gods and goddesses. Their house was looted by Islamic fundamentalists and they were then murdered with sharp weapons.

The violence that erupted in West Bengal's Murshidabad district last Friday has spread panic in the entire region. After Friday prayers, the situation went out of control in Suti and Samsherganj areas when the mob started violent protests in the name of opposing the amendment in the Waqf Act. The situation worsened so much that many Hindu families were specifically targeted.

Direct attack on properties of Hindus

According to local reports, many Hindu houses, shops and vehicles were targeted in this violence. The violence was such that sculptor Hargovind Das and his son Chandan Das, who made idols of gods and goddesses, were murdered with sharp weapons. Pictures of their dead bodies have surfaced in a video that went viral on social media, in which it can be seen that both of them were brutally killed.

Even the temple and the sweet shop were not spared

A sweet shop named 'Subha Smriti Hotel' in Suti area was completely destroyed. The shop owner got emotional and said, "Our livelihood has been snatched away. Everything has been looted, now I don't understand how to live in future."

BJP leader's statement and historical context

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the incident. He called it a population-based attack and talked about preventing Bengal from becoming another Bangladesh. He also warned Mamata Banerjee with reference to Jogendra Nath Mandal, who had gone to Pakistan after partition but returned to India after seeing the conditions there.

The ordeal of the local people

During the violence, Manju Bhagat, a local woman, told how the mob was trying to break the doors of her house. “We were all hiding on the roof, taking the name of God. I was so scared that I was worried about my daughter,” she said. Similarly, another eyewitness said that even an ambulance was not spared and the driver was beaten up.

Questions raised on police inaction

Some victims questioned the role of the police. A victim told ANI, "The police was nowhere to be seen, they were trying to save their own lives. Now it remains to be seen whether the government gives compensation or not." This incident in Murshidabad shows that this was not just a protest, but a well-planned attempt to harm a particular community. The lives of those affected by the violence are now facing the challenge of reconstruction. Seeing the gravity of the situation, the Calcutta High Court has ordered the deployment of central forces so that peace can be restored in the area.
