Salman Khan is currently shooting his much-awaited war drama Battle of Galwan in Ladakh. Pictures of the actor in army uniform alongside soldiers have gone viral, raising excitement for the film. After the setback of Alexander, Salman is pinning high hopes on this project. Interestingly, the film also marks his collaboration with Himesh Reshammiya—the very composer Salman once jokingly called a “chor (thief)” on a reality show.
Lyricist Sameer Anjaan shares major update
In a recent interview, veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan revealed that he has penned five to six songs for the film, with Himesh composing the music. Calling Battle of Galwan an “amazing war film,” he assured fans that the music will be just as powerful. The Ladakh schedule is currently underway, after which portions will be shot in Mumbai.
A promising reunion
Fans are particularly excited to see Salman and Himesh working together again, as their past collaborations have delivered blockbuster albums. Actress Chitrangada Singh has also joined the cast and admitted feeling “a little nervous” about the project.
Salman vs Himesh throwback
Years ago, during the promotion of Yuvraj on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Salman teased Himesh saying, “How many songs of Anu Malik have you stolen?” The remark didn’t sit well with the composer, who firmly denied ever copying music. Despite that light clash, the duo has reunited—last seen together in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
With patriotic themes, Ladakh visuals, and a strong soundtrack, Battle of Galwan is being positioned as one of Salman’s biggest upcoming films.
