BCCI Revises Women Domestic Cricketers Pay Structure: The Indian women's cricket team recently won the 2025 ODI World Cup, their first trophy. Every Indian celebrated this victory. Now, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has given a significant gift to women players. The BCCI has made a historic change in the match fees of women domestic cricketers. Now, the match fees of women players in domestic cricket are equal to those of men players.
Women players will now get this much money
The BCCI has more than doubled the match fees for women cricketers and match officials, moving towards equal match fees in domestic cricket. According to this, women players will receive ₹50,000 per day for being part of the playing XI in domestic ODI and multi-day (long format) matches. Reserve players will receive ₹25,000 per match. Meanwhile, for T20 matches, players in the playing XI will receive ₹25,000, and players on the bench ₹12,500 per match. Previously, senior women players received ₹20,000 for being in the playing XI and ₹10,000 for being on the bench.
Changes in match fees at the junior level
Equity has also been implemented in junior-level tournaments. In multi-day or ODI matches, the playing XI will receive ₹25,000 per day, and reserve players ₹12,500. In T20 matches, players in the playing XI will receive ₹12,500, and players not in the playing 11 will receive ₹6,250.
On the other hand, match officials, including umpires and match referees, will also benefit from this increase. Umpires and match referees will be paid ₹40,000 per day for league matches in domestic tournaments. For knockout matches, the daily salary will be between ₹50,000 and ₹60,000. Under this increase, those umpiring in Ranji Trophy league matches will now receive approximately ₹1.60 lakh per match, while those umpiring in knockout matches will receive between ₹2.5 lakh and ₹3 lakh per match.
