Big Update on Salman Khan’s Kick 2: Fans Can Finally Breathe Easy

While Salman Khan’s Sikandar is gearing up for release, fans are equally eager to know about his next project. The biggest question on everyone’s mind is: What will Salman Khan work on after Sikandar? Speculations have been circulating about Kick 2, and there were also reports of him being in talks with a South Indian director. Amidst all the curiosity, a major update has arrived that will put fans at ease—work on the script of Kick 2 is progressing swiftly and will be completed soon.

How Far Has Kick 2 Progressed?

The sequel will continue from where Kick (2014) left off, with Salman Khan’s character, Devi Lal, taking on a new chapter in his journey. Screenwriter Rajat Arora recently shared insights on the film’s development:

“If there’s any character that truly deserves a sequel, it’s Devi Lal from Kick. Fans have been demanding a sequel for a long time. If we had wanted to capitalize on the film’s popularity and Salman’s stardom, we could have made a sequel much earlier. But we didn’t want to rush it. The story had to be fresh and compelling. The scripting process is in progress and will be completed soon.”

When Will the Shooting Begin?

Rumors suggest that Kick 2 might go on floors by August, but Rajat Arora has not confirmed any specific timeline. However, he did mention that producer Sajid Nadiadwala is keen on ensuring that the sequel is just as entertaining as the original. Given Salman Khan’s massive stardom, the film’s scale and storytelling are being carefully planned.

Kick’s Box Office Success

While Kick 2 is still in the early stages, its predecessor was a major blockbuster. Made on a budget of ₹100 crore, Kick went on to collect ₹378 crore worldwide, cementing its place as one of Salman Khan’s biggest hits.

With the script nearing completion and production likely to begin soon, fans can expect an action-packed entertainer that lives up to the legacy of Kick.
