There is severe heat in Bihar's capital Patna and 19 districts of South Bihar. There is no relief anywhere inside or outside the house. The effect of heat has become uncontrollable in Patna. Along with the humid heat, there was also a power cut for 12 hours, due to which people were troubled and wandered here and there throughout the night. However, people have got relief from light rain in Khagaria, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, and Vaishali.
According to the Patna Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of getting some relief from Saturday, but the heat will remain even today. Meteorologist Anand Shankar says that due to high humidity in the air, sweat is not drying, due to which the heat is felt more. The walls and roofs of the houses have also become hot due to the sun.

Light rain may occur at some places in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Patna, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai and Gaya.
At the same time, there is a high possibility of rain in the Himalayan foothills districts like West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj.
Hot day alert in these districts
A hot day is forecast in Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal, Patna, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Banka, Gaya and Jamui. The moisture coming from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal has made the air heavy, due to which hot days and heat are felt in the air. This situation may persist for a few days.
Monsoon update
According to IMD, the monsoon is not likely to arrive in Bihar for two days. Currently, no system is active. There is a possibility of an increase in rain activities after two days, due to which there is a possibility of monsoon arriving. The Meteorological Department will issue information about this.

The outbreak of severe heat continues in Bihar. The highest temperature of 42°C has been recorded in Dehri. Apart from this, 41.1°C was recorded in Gopalganj, 40.7°C in Chhapra, 40.5°C in Gaya, 40.4°C in Bhojpur, 40.3°C in Bikramganj, 40.2°C in Buxar and Aurangabad and 40.1°C in Patna.
