Arattai Features: Zoho's messaging app, Arattai, is gearing up to add new features to its app to win over its audience. The company has added two new features in the last 10 days. Let's find out what these two new features are.
Zoho-owned Indian instant messaging app Arattai has started adding new features to the app to win over its users. To enhance and enhance the chat experience, the company has now added a new feature to convert images into stickers. The company shared a preview of this new feature in a post from X, showing users capturing images with their phone's camera and converting them into stickers. Once the image is converted into a sticker, the new sticker becomes available for sharing.
This is the second feature the company has rolled out in the last 10 days. On March 21st, Arattai announced the rollout of a chat backup feature for users. This feature allows users to back up end-to-end encrypted chats to Google Drive on Android or iCloud on iOS and restore them when needed. The app gained traction after IT ministers Ashwini Vaishnav and Dharmendra Pradhan expressed support for an indigenous alternative to WhatsApp. Following this, the platform saw a 100x increase in traffic in just three days.
These features make it different from WhatsApp
The platform offers several features that WhatsApp doesn't have, such as the ability to chat using a username without sharing your mobile number, a dedicated space to save and organize media and notes, and a dedicated Meetings tab to create and schedule video meetings.
These features are not available on WhatsApp
However, there are several features that are not available in this app but are available in WhatsApp, such as payments, events, disappearing messages, and advanced chat security. When the app gained popularity, end-to-end encryption wasn't included, but in November last year, end-to-end encryption (E2EE) was rolled out for individual chats. All conversations on the platform are now encrypted on the user's device before being sent. This encryption also applies to chat backups.
