WhatsApp has a feature that lets you view your status without informing the other person. To do this, first go to the app's Settings, tap the Privacy option, and then turn off Read Receipts.

After turning this setting off, whenever you view someone's status, your name will not appear in the other person's Viewed List. However, one effect of this will be that you will also not be able to see who has viewed your status. If you don't want to turn off Read Receipts, another method is also quite popular. To do this, first open WhatsApp and let the Status section load. Once all the statuses are visible, turn on your phone's Airplane Mode.

 Now, check your status after the internet is off. Doing so prevents your view from reaching the server immediately. After checking your status, close WhatsApp completely and then turn off Airplane Mode. This method often works, preventing the other party from noticing your viewing.
