Citroen Basalt X Launched in India at ₹7.95 Lakh; Takes on Creta, Seltos and Vitara

Citroen India has expanded its SUV lineup with the launch of the new Basalt X, starting at ₹7.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, the Basalt X will go head-to-head with popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara.

Powertrain

The Citroen Basalt X is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 108 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. With the 6-speed torque converter automatic, torque goes up to 205 Nm.

Expansion Plans

Citroen also announced plans to expand its dealer network from 88 outlets to 150 across India, strengthening customer reach and after-sales support.
