Delhi Lakshmi Yojana : Women in Delhi will get Rs 2500 from this day, check application status immediately

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: If you're a resident of Delhi and waiting for the first installment of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, there's good news for you. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 will begin to be distributed to eligible women starting September 1st.

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta posted a post on her X account, writing, "The wait is about to end. On August 26th, official approval letters will be issued to eligible women under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana from Talkatora Stadium. Monthly financial assistance will begin being deposited into their bank accounts on September 1st."

  • August 26: Official approval letters will be distributed to eligible women at a function organised at Talkatora Stadium.
  • From September 1, the first installment of Rs 2500 will start being sent to the bank accounts of all approved beneficiaries.

How will I get the payment of Rs 2,500?

Under the scheme, the amount of Rs 2,500 will not be available for spending directly at one go.

  • Default option: Rs 1,500 will be credited to your RD/FD (locked-in till July 31, 2029) and Rs 1,000 will be credited to your CBDC digital wallet.
  • Savings Option: If you wish, you can also choose to save the entire Rs 2,500 as RD/FD savings.

Eligibility for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana

  • The applicant must be a female.
  • The applicant should be the eldest female member of the family.
  • The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 60 years on the date of submission of application.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs 2,50,000.
  • The applicant or his/her spouse or one of his/her parents must be a resident of Delhi (at least for the last 10 years) as on the date of submission of application.
  • The applicant must be a registered voter of Delhi.
  • The annual electricity consumption of the family in the last 12 months prior to application should not exceed 2400 units.
  • The applicant should not be receiving any financial assistance in the form of pension from the Central or State Government, and should not be an Income Tax payer or GST filer, and should not be a Government employee and/or hold any public office.
  • The applicant or any member of the family should not be employed as a regular or contractual employee under the State Government, Government of India, any public sector undertaking, board, local body or government organisation; nor should they be in receipt of widow pension, disability pension or any other pension, financial assistance or any other similar assistance.
  • The applicant or any member of the family should not own a four-wheeler motor vehicle.
  • The applicant should not have more than three children.
  • There should not be any criminal record/criminal ''>How to check and correct my application?
    • Visit the official portal ( dly.delhi.gov.in ) and check the status with your login credentials.
    • Go to the "Track Application" option. You can check your application by entering your mobile number, date of birth, and captcha code.
    • Correction/Edit Option: The government will soon introduce a correction window on the portal, allowing applications with incorrect or incomplete information to be corrected.
    • Keep your bank account linked to Aadhaar and DBT so that the first installment can come without any interruption.

    Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had said, "The aim of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is to bring greater economic strength, confidence, and independence into everyday life. The tremendous enthusiasm of women across Delhi shows how deeply this initiative resonates with their aspirations. Their trust is our blessing and our biggest inspiration to work."
