Do This Hair Care Routine Twice a Week for Thick, Long, and Strong Hair

Healthy, shiny hair not only enhances your appearance but also boosts your confidence. However, due to pollution, dust, poor diet, and excessive use of chemical-based products, many people face problems like hair fall, breakage, and dullness. With a little care and consistency, you can restore your hair’s strength and shine. By following this simple two-day-a-week routine, you can achieve thick, long, and strong hair naturally.

Why Hair Care Is Important

Neglecting your hair can lead to dandruff, split ends, dryness, and even hair thinning. A regular routine that includes cleansing, oiling, and nourishing treatments helps maintain scalp health and promotes growth.

Step 1: Apply a Natural Hair Pack Once a Week

A homemade hair pack can deeply nourish your scalp and hair. It removes dandruff, restores shine, and strengthens roots.
How to make it:

  • Take one bowl of yogurt.

  • Add half a bowl of aloe vera gel.

  • Mix in 2 teaspoons of amla powder.

  • Add 1 teaspoon of coconut, olive, or almond oil.
Mix everything well and apply it from scalp to ends. Leave it on for 30–40 minutes before washing with a mild shampoo. You’ll notice visible improvement even after the first use.

Step 2: Oil Your Hair Once a Week

Oiling keeps your hair hydrated, prevents breakage, and improves blood circulation in the scalp.
How to do it:

  • Mix castor oil and coconut oil in equal parts or use almond oil.

  • Warm it slightly before applying.

  • Massage gently into your scalp for 10–15 minutes.
Leave it overnight or for a few hours, then wash it off with a mild shampoo.
Tip: Alternate between applying a hair pack one week and oiling the next for balanced nourishment.

Step 3: Deep Conditioning for Smoothness

Once every three weeks, deep condition your hair to repair damage.
How to do it:

  • After shampooing, apply a hair spa cream evenly.

  • Soak a towel in warm water, wring it out, and wrap it around your head.

  • Repeat this process 3–4 times for steaming.

  • Wash your hair again, apply conditioner, and rinse after 2–3 minutes.

Step 4: Monthly Hair Rinse for Cleansing

If your water is hard or contains minerals, use a natural hair rinse once a month. It helps remove buildup and keeps the scalp clean.
How to do it:
Use a rinse made from apple cider vinegar or green tea after shampooing, leave it for a few minutes, then rinse with plain water.
