Especially for vegetarians, it is important and beneficial to eat lentils, green leafy vegetables and grains by adding lemon to them. However, one should avoid consuming lemon with some foods.
When should lemon not be used in food?
Lemon is very beneficial for our health, but its consumption should be avoided with certain health conditions and foods.
- Kidney disease: People suffering from kidney problems should avoid consuming lemon (nimbu kise nahi khana chahiye), as it can disturb the balance of potassium in the body. Potassium is also found in lemon; therefore, kidney patients are prohibited from consuming lemon.
- In case of citrus allergy: Some people are allergic to sour things. In such a situation, consuming lemon can cause rashes, itching or burning on the skin. Difficulty in breathing. There might be a problem.
