People drink alcohol on New Year's Day - Premananda Maharaj
Premananda Maharaj explained that on New Year's Day, people eat meat, drink alcohol, party, and indulge in promiscuity. There are some crazy people who, after drinking alcohol, lie around and say "Happy New Year." What kind of Happy New Year is this? This is all completely wrong. Sinful acts and bad behavior lead to suffering.
Drinking alcohol is a sin
Drinking alcohol is considered a sin. Alcohol consumption is considered inherent in demons. People who commit sinful acts and engage in impure behavior are destined for certain doom. Such individuals are destined for hell. When their actions go wrong, people rot, lying around, with no one to even offer them water. If a person doesn't give up their sinful actions, they will face punishments they never imagined.
Follow these rules in the new year
Premananda Maharaj said that in such a situation, sinful acts and bad behavior should be abandoned on the New Year. We should make a vow to give up intoxicants in the New Year. We should vow not to indulge in the practices we have been doing today. We should vow not to drink alcohol in the New Year, not to eat meat, not to commit sins, not to engage in violence, not to steal, or to engage in wrongdoing.
