Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is preparing for his next big screen appearance with the upcoming romantic drama Ek Din. After his theatrical debut Loveyapa in 2025 failed to make an impact at the box office, expectations are now high for his new film produced by Aamir Khan Productions.

The film also stars popular South Indian actress Sai Pallavi, who will be making her Hindi film debut with this project.

Trailer Release Date Announced

The makers recently unveiled a new poster of Ek Din and confirmed the release date of the film’s trailer. Sharing the update on social media, Aamir Khan Productions wrote:

“Pyar mein bas ek mauka chahiye. Ek Din trailer out March 11. #EkDin only in theatres May 1, 2026.”

The announcement has generated fresh excitement among fans who are eager to see the on-screen chemistry between Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi.

Junaid Khan’s Early Film Journey

Junaid Khan first appeared on screen in Maharaj, which was released directly on OTT platforms in 2024. His first theatrical film, Loveyapa, arrived in 2025 but did not perform well at the box office.

With Ek Din, the actor will attempt to establish himself in the romantic drama genre.

A Special Collaboration

The project is also notable because filmmaker Mansoor Khan has collaborated again with Aamir Khan after several years. The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit.

Story and Music

Ek Din is reportedly inspired by the 2016 Thai film One Day (2016 Thai film). The screenplay has been adapted for Indian audiences by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra.

The film’s music is composed by Ram Sampath, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil.
