Great scheme of Rajasthan government: Rajasthan government will give ₹3000 monthly pension to workers in the unorganized sector. Workers between 18 and 45 years of age, whose monthly income is less than ₹15,000, are eligible for this. Pension will start at the age of 60 years.

Jaipur. The Rajasthan government has launched a new welfare scheme for workers working in the unorganized sector, street vendors and folk artists of the state. The name of this scheme is Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Pension Yojana. Its purpose is to provide financial support to those people who cannot depend on any other means for livelihood in old age.

Chief Minister's Old Age Pension Scheme

This scheme is being run by the State Insurance and Provident Fund Department and it has been implemented from the day its order was issued. This scheme is different from the already running Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme and new eligible people are being included in it.

Who will get the benefit of the scheme? 

• If you are a resident of Rajasthan and work in the unorganized sector, such as daily wage laborers, cart pushers, barbers, blacksmiths, weavers or folk artists, then this scheme is for you. But some conditions have been fixed for this:
• The applicant should be a permanent resident of Rajasthan. Monthly income should be less than ₹ 15,000. Age should be between 18 to 45 years. UAN number should be obtained from e-Shram portal. DBT active bank account. Not taking benefit of any other pension scheme.

When and how much pension will be received? 

• As soon as the registration is done in the scheme, the pensioner starts getting a pension of ₹ 3000 every month on completion of the age of 60 years. If both husband and wife are eligible, then they will jointly get a monthly pension of ₹ 6000.
• This amount will be paid through the pension fund manager appointed by the state government. After the death of the pensioner, his wife or family will continue to receive 50% of the pension. This scheme is going to become a reliable support for old age for lakhs of unorganized workers of the state.
