India has suffered a loss in the WTC points table after losing the first Test against England. England defeated Team India by 5 wickets and pushed it to the fourth position, while after the victory in Headingley, England reached the first position. The new cycle of WTC started on June 17 with the Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka Test. This Test match played in Galle was a draw. Both have the same PCT and both the teams are in second and third position respectively in the WTC points table.

The Indian team will have to win the second Test at any cost to move up in the points table. The second Test match between India and England will be played at Edgbaston from July 2.
England defeated India by 5 wickets and earned 12 points from this Test match. On the other hand, the Indian team did not get a single point from this Test.
