England Playing XI for IND vs ENG 3rd Test: The selection panel of the England men's team has made one change in the playing XI for the third Test to be played against India at Lord's. Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been included in the team in place of Josh Tongue for this match. This is the 30-year-old Archer's return to the Test team after February 2021 and he will play his 14th Test. The five-match Test series between India and England is tied at 1-1. England won the first match by 5 wickets. After this, India made a comeback in the second Test, in which they made a great comeback by winning the Edgbaston Test by 336 runs on Sunday.
Archer was also included in the team's squad for the second Test, but he did not get a place in the playing eleven. However, in this match, the English team has decided to make a change under pressure. Archer has been struggling with elbow problems for a long time. He participated in the IPL, but since then he has delayed his return to the long format. Archer has 42 wickets in 13 Test matches to his name. His arrival is expected to increase the pressure on the Indian batting.
Jasprit Bumrah is also set to return to the Indian team along with Jofra. Captain Shubman Gill had said after the second Test that Bumrah will definitely be a part of the team. Bumrah is also seen sweating a lot in the nets before the match to be held at Lord's.
