Fake Bride and Relatives Exposed at Wedding; Groom Left Shocked as Police Intervene in Haryana

A bizarre incident unfolded on Sunday at a wedding ceremony in Dabwali, Sirsa (Haryana), when the Rajasthan Police unexpectedly arrived and exposed a shocking fraud. The bride, her so-called relatives, and the middleman who arranged the marriage were all found to be impostors, leaving the groom and guests stunned.

Police Raid Wedding, Arrest Middleman

During the wedding festivities, with the bride dressed in her wedding attire and the groom seated on stage, Rajasthan Police suddenly intervened. They immediately identified and arrested a man named Resham Singh, who admitted to being the middleman responsible for arranging the marriage.

The Bride’s “Parents” Had No Clue

Upon further questioning, the people posing as the bride’s parents were unable to even name the bride. As the police dug deeper, it was revealed that none of the so-called relatives of the bride were actually related to her. This revelation caused chaos and confusion at the venue, with the wedding coming to an abrupt halt as everyone left.

Background of the Middleman

Rajasthan Police informed that a case was registered against Resham Singh on March 27, 2024, at the Kolayat Police Station in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. He had been absconding since then. Resham Singh is originally from Bathinda, Punjab, and was living in a rented house in Sundar Nagar, Dabwali at the time of the incident.

Bride and Accomplices Taken Into Custody

Following the revelations, the Haryana Police, along with the local Dial 112 and Nagar Police Station personnel, arrived at the scene. They took the bride and her accomplices into custody for further investigation. Meanwhile, Resham Singh was taken back by Rajasthan Police.

Groom Left Devastated

The groom, who had arrived with the baraat from Punjab, returned home empty-handed, taking back the bridal lehenga and other wedding items. This case has left everyone involved and the local authorities baffled, highlighting the complexities of matrimonial frauds that can sometimes take place under the guise of celebrations.
