Indian star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, a cornerstone of Team India's success, is currently gearing up for the crucial England tour where his form and fitness will be under keen observation. Regarded as one of the most lethal bowlers in international cricket, Bumrah's recent surge in performance has drawn significant attention, with his wife, renowned sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan, offering unique insights into the positive transformation.
Sanjana Ganesan recently opened up about a profound shift in her husband's cricketing journey, attributing it to the arrival of their son, Angad. Speaking on the 'Moment of Silence' podcast, Sanjana shared her belief that fatherhood has not only molded Bumrah into a better person but has also elevated his game on the field. She emphasized the calming and supportive influence of a stable home life on his professional achievements.
"Jasprit Bumrah has become a better cricketer since the birth of Angad," Sanjana revealed. "When you have a peaceful home to return to, where you can just play the role of father and husband, it is very helpful for you."
Bumrah, already celebrated for his blistering pace and pinpoint accuracy, has indeed showcased remarkable improvements in his fitness and strategic approach in recent international outings. His stellar performance last year saw him claim a total of 86 wickets across all three formats, capping off a successful period that also included Team India's victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. Sanjana firmly believes that the added responsibilities and love of family life have fortified his mental well-being, directly correlating with his exceptional on-field display.
Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan tied the knot in 2021 after a courtship of approximately one and a half years. Their family grew with the birth of their son, Angad, on September 4, 2023. Little Angad is often seen accompanying his mother, Sanjana, to the stadium, cheering on his celebrated father.
