The 7th match of Major League Cricket 2025 delivered a stunning blow to Heinrich Klaasen — and not just in the scorebook. Just days after retiring from international cricket, Klaasen faced a nightmare moment as he was dismissed for a golden duck in Seattle Orcas’ disastrous run chase against Texas Super Kings.
Klaasen Bowled First Ball, Fleming in Splits
Stepping out to bat with high expectations, Klaasen was clean bowled on the very first delivery by Super Kings pacer Zia-ul-Haq, who delivered a lethal yorker that left the former South African stunned.
Klaasen, who recently bid farewell to South Africa to focus on franchise cricket, now finds himself under pressure, having scored just 17 and 0 in his first two MLC matches. Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming couldn’t hold back his laughter as Klaasen walked off without troubling the scorers.
