• At 6:00 am, Sonam and Raja started the climb. Sonam stopped along the way and talked to the killers, including Raja.
• At 7:00 in the morning, Sonam and Raja stopped at a shop to have tea, the killer was also nearby.
• At 10 am Sonam and Raja climbed 2000 stairs. A tourist guide saw them with three boys (killers), whose statement was recorded by the police.
• At 12 noon Raja became friends with the killers. Sonam started walking behind while Raja and the killers were ahead.
• At 12:30 pm Sonam called her mother-in-law and mentioned the climb and fatigue.
• Between 1 and 1:30 in the afternoon, Sonam gave the signal and Vishal (the killer) made the first attack.
• At 02:15 pm, Sonam posted a post from Raja's phone, expressing grief, and threw the phone into a ditch.
• After Raja was murdered at 2:30 pm, he was thrown into a ditch.

If we look at the sequence of events of this entire murder, we come to know that Raja Raghuvanshi was killed on 23 May. Raja's wife Sonam absconded on 24 May. On 25 May, she met Raj Kushwaha in Indore, then on 9 June Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Before surrendering, she talked to her brother. During this, she started crying profusely. On receiving information, the police took her into custody from a dhaba in Ghazipur. She appeared in court on 10 June. Where a three-day transit remand was approved. On 11 June, Sonam was brought to Shillong via Patna.
