Similarly, long working hours, constant work stress, and a habit of sitting all day also increase the risk of heart disease.

Sometimes loneliness can over-activate your sympathetic nervous system, potentially increasing your blood pressure. Experts have also found that people who sleep more than nine to ten hours a day are at increased risk for high blood pressure. Furthermore, some people who smoke regularly are at increased risk for high blood pressure.
