Despite winning the Women's World Cup trophy, Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has suffered a major setback in the ICC ODI rankings. Indian opening batter Smriti has lost the top position in the rankings. South African captain Laura Wolvaardt, who left Smriti behind in terms of scoring runs in the World Cup, has overtaken her in the rankings and become number 1. Jemimah Rodrigues, who got India a ticket to the finals with her brilliant century in the World Cup semi-final, has also made a big jump in the rankings. Jemimah has jumped 9 places directly to number 10. Other Indian players have also benefited in the rankings. It is believed that India will get a jump in the team rankings as well.
