Australia’s preparations for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 have suffered a major setback as all-rounder Grace Harris has been ruled out of the tournament due to a lingering calf injury sustained during the third ODI against India.
Heather Graham Called Up as Replacement
Harris, who contributes with both bat and ball, has played 12 ODIs for Australia, scoring 16 runs and taking 12 wickets. She played her most recent ODI in India, taking one wicket, but her injury prevented recovery in time for the World Cup.
Australia has called up Heather Graham as her replacement. Graham, also an all-rounder, made her ODI debut in 2019 against Sri Lanka, scoring 4 runs and taking 1 wicket. Despite limited international exposure, she has now been included directly in Australia’s World Cup squad.
World Cup Schedule
The Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 begins on September 30th, with India facing Sri Lanka in the opening match. Australia will start their campaign against New Zealand on October 1st. The Australian team recently defeated India 2-1 in a three-match ODI series.
