IMD Heavy Rain Alert: Thunderstorms and rain warnings have been issued for 15 states for three days!

Weather Update: Late-night rain seems to be bringing some relief from the intense heat. The International Monetary Fund (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for 15 states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan
Relief from the scorching heat appears to be on the horizon. Following rain in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas, the weather turned pleasant on Friday (May 29) after rain in several parts of Uttar Pradesh late last night. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm and rain alert for the next three days in 15 states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Bihar.
Delhi Weather:
Rain accompanied by strong winds lashed Delhi-NCR on Thursday, bringing relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in many northern Indian states may drop by 6 to 8 degrees Celsius due to a western disturbance. This change will last until May 31st. Thunderstorms and rain are forecast on May 30th and 31st. The heat will increase again on June 2nd.
Relief in Uttar Pradesh:
The weather changed in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Rain started in Ghaziabad , Mathura, Kasganj, Sambhal, and Farrukhabad, and dark clouds descended on Meerut. Rain followed a dust storm in Shahjahanpur, while heavy hail fell in Jhansi and Badaun.
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed Kanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, and Lucknow late Thursday night . The Meteorological Department predicts a storm with winds of up to 100 km/h could hit the state today. This rain is expected to continue until May 31st. Banda was the hottest city in the state on Thursday, with a temperature of 47.8 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, a moving auto-rickshaw caught fire at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya. Passengers jumped out to save their lives.
Bihar Weather: Heavy rain is expected
in Bihar on May 29-30, in addition to the capital Patna, in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Supaul, Purnia, Saharsa, Katihar, Araria, Bhagalpur, Munger, and Khagaria. During this time, winds of up to 70 kilometers per hour are possible.
Rajasthan Weather:
A rain and thunderstorm alert has been issued for Rajasthan from May 29th to 31st. Rain is expected to begin today in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Bikaner divisions, and may continue intermittently until May 31st. Temperatures may drop by up to 2 degrees during this period.
