Siraj inquired about Gill's well-being after the injury, while Virat Kohli, who was batting in the nets nearby, also went to see how the captain was feeling. Gill was later seen sitting, holding his elbow, while support staff bandaged his hand.

Gill has little time for recovery

Gill's injury comes just two days before India's first ODI against the West Indies, which is scheduled for Sunday in Thiruvananthapuram. Therefore, Gill has little time to recover before the start of India's three-match ODI series.

India is grappling with several injury concerns.
