Indian Railways Approves 7 New Amrit Bharat Express Trains: Check Routes, Major Stops and Cities Connected

Indian Railways has approved seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains, expanding long-distance connectivity across several parts of the country. The new services will connect major destinations in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana and southern India.
Amrit Bharat Express trains are designed to provide affordable long-distance travel with improved passenger facilities. The expansion could particularly benefit passengers travelling between major cities as well as smaller stations located along these routes.
Here is a look at the seven approved routes and their important stops.
1. Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express
The Dhanbad-Coimbatore service will be one of the longest routes among the newly approved trains, connecting eastern India with the south.
Major stops on the route include Gomoh, Parasnath, Koderma, Gaya, Sasaram, Prayagraj Chheoki, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Warangal and Vijayawada.
As the train moves further south, it will pass through Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur before reaching Coimbatore.
The service will provide another direct long-distance travel option between Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu while connecting several important railway junctions along the way.
2. Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Amrit Bharat Express
Another new Amrit Bharat Express will connect Prayagraj with Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT).
The train is expected to stop at major stations including Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusaval and Kalyan before reaching LTT.
This service has been approved to operate once a week and will provide an additional connection between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
3. Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Amrit Bharat Express
A second new service to Mumbai will originate from Subedarganj and terminate at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus.
Important stations on this route include Fatehpur, Govindpuri, Banda, Chitrakootdham Karwi, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nashik Road, Kalyan and Thane.
The Subedarganj-LTT Amrit Bharat Express is also expected to operate weekly.
4. Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express
Passengers travelling between eastern Uttar Pradesh and Delhi will get another option with the introduction of the Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express.
The train will travel through Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly, Moradabad and Ghaziabad before reaching Delhi.
This service is also planned to operate once a week.
The route could prove useful for passengers from several cities and districts of eastern and central Uttar Pradesh travelling towards Delhi-NCR.
5. Prayagraj-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express
The Prayagraj-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express will provide another rail connection between Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
The train's important stops include Fatehpur, Etawah, Tundla, Agra, Bayana, Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ratlam and Vadodara before it reaches Udhna.
The route will connect passengers across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, potentially making long-distance travel between these regions more convenient.
6. Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Amrit Bharat Express
Gorakhpur will also receive a new connection to Mumbai through the Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Amrit Bharat Express.
The train will stop at several important stations, including Basti, Gonda, Kanpur, Agra Fort, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Vapi and Borivali, before reaching Bandra Terminus.
This service has also been approved for weekly operation.
7. Charlapalli-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express
The seventh new service will connect Charlapalli in Telangana with Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
The train will travel through Kazipet, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Balharshah, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gomtinagar, Barabanki and Gonda before reaching Gorakhpur.
This long-distance route will improve connectivity between Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
